What does the word of God say business?

It is unwise to make financial success a priority.

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24, New King James Version)

Plan ahead and have goals.

28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? (Luke 14:28-31, New King James Version)

It is wise to have a goal in mind.

16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge,
But a fool lays open his folly.
(Proverbs 13:16, New King James Version)

Get wise counsel when setting goals.

22 Without counsel, plans go awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
(Proverbs 15:22, New King James Version)

The first principle of problem solving is get the facts.

13 He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.
(Proverbs 18:13, New King James Version)

The second principle of solving problems is be open to new ideas.

15 The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
(Proverbs 18:15, New King James Version)

Plan carefully, not in haste.

5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
(Proverbs 21:5, New King James Version)

Goals should include submission to God.

15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
(James 4:15-16, New King James Version)

The third principle of problem solving is hear both sides of the story.

17 The first one to plead his cause seems right,
Until his neighbor comes and examines him.
(Proverbs 18:17, New King James Version)

How does God want us to respond to problems?

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4, New King James Version)

Hard time solving your problems?

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5, New King James Version)

Trust in God rather than self for guidance.

4 And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
      And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
(Proverbs 3:4-6, New King James Version)

What is the key to success in Christian Business?

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8, New King James Version)
